Timeline:
3.5 months

Purchase and tend to plants, customize and combine them into crazy creations as you expand your collection, compare with other players in online markets.
Overview
A project dedicated to early development and documentation practice, beginning with conceptualization and leading into research, funding, and presenting to shareholders.
My roles were as a game designer to develop our concept, and as a producer to manager our team through the process.
Project Overview

The concept of a plant-tending app was initiated by my team member (creative director), all team members as game designers fleshed out the idea by comparing other nature-based apps on the market at the time. We decided on a highly customizable sim involving combining plants to create new breeds, as well as decorating your space around them.
Contributions:
• Help form a rough idea into a full concept
• Establish roles and tasks for team members to complete
• Regulate workflow and check-in with team members to ensure deliverables are on schedule
• Create all documents and detail them with explanations of tasks to be completed
• Complete and guide preliminary research
• Keep team members on task and accountable during work periods to ensure fair work is completed by all

Learning Outcomes:
• As a responsible teammate and producer, I should be more proactive in checking in on teammate's progress and where I can help
• It's important to establish a regular workflow and schedule to follow using tasking tools like a Gantt chart or Trello/HacknPlan, but it's more important to follow that schedule
• Preliminary market research and comparisons can aide in design and pitching immensely by detailing where you can gain strength from your competitor's weaknesses and where they lack
• Organized and lead by me
• Populated by team

I believe this to be an effective internal document that displayed the necessary information fairly concisely for our project's concept. It would benefit greatly from additional visuals and improved presentation.
• Organized and lead by me
• Populated by team

As our first encounter with a
Gantt chart we used a Google Sheets template and populated it with our requirements. I set up the chart, formatting, and tasks, then showed my team what was expected and had them fill in the remainder based on their capabilities.
• Content provided by myself and 2 others
• Presentation created by 4th member

Two of my teammates and I created a "rough" presentation that consisted of all words and slides to be presented. Our fourth teammate then created a beautiful presentation, however we failed to proofread for errors in the slides they created prior to presenting it.
